“Diversify yourself. What are you going to do to set yourself apart from everyone else?”

This charge from my father inspired me to view my aspirations and future with a wider lens. Gone were the days of getting a degree with a guarantee of a job that I would be in for decades. I wanted to do something different. I wanted to be more than a meteorologist.

With weather at the core, this is a glimpse into how an interested learner continues to carve his niche at the intersection of emergency management, education, meteorology, technology and innovation.
